Live Before You Die: My ideal Bon Jovi experience includes a bunch of m...: "My ideal Bon Jovi experience includes a bunch of my fellow Mom-Jovi girls and me taking a trip to the show on planes, trains, and automobile..."
My ideal Bon Jovi experience includes a bunch of my fellow Mom-Jovi girls and me taking a trip to the show on planes, trains, and automobiles from Central NY. We will wear our Jovi Girl shirts. We arrive early to experience Soldier Field and a pre-show party, while singing along with our favorite Bon Jovi songs.
We get to our "seats" inside "THE CIRCLE" early enough to enjoy the opening band but we can't stand the anticipation! It is almost too much to take as the lights go down and "This is Our House" starts to play...
Bon Jovi takes the stage and begins by singing "Blood on Blood", one of my all time favorite songs! The video screens are playing and the atmosphere is fully charged with excitement! They Jersey boys proceed to play all of my favorites (Last Man Standing, Sleep When I'm Dead, Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen From Mars, Someday I'll Be Saturday Night, We Got it Going On, You Want to Make a Memory, Always, Bed of Roses, I Got the Girl, Love for Sale, Wild is the Wind, Shot Through the Heart (from the album Bon Jovi), You Give Love a Bad Name, Misunderstood, Superman Tonight, Just Older, Welcome to Wherever You Are, Everybody's Broken, Born to Be My Baby, Who Says You Can't Go Home, Lost Highway, Hallelujah) until one of the stage hands comes to get me to bring me to the stage. Once there Jon sings "I'll be There for You and Never Say Goodbye while I sit on the side of the stage. When it's over he gives me a kiss on the cheek (as proper married people do!) while everyone is taking pictures!!! I go back to the circle and continue to sing and dance with my favorite band. At the end of the show there are fireworks! When the encores are complete (Livin on a Prayer, One Wild Night, Runaway, Wanted Dead or Alive) the best 3 hours of music have just taken place. The band takes their well deserved bows and they take in all the love from the audience (God I LOVE when Jon soaks up the love, he always flashes that huge signature grin). For me, now is the time to meet the band!!!
I go backstage and I'm brought to a room to wait (im)patiently for the band. When they come in they are gracious to all the fans. They take pictures and sign autographs. I show them my 80s magazine (it is a whole Bon Jovi magazine) and we all laugh about how far hairstyles have come :0) I have a few minutes to talk to the guys and all too soon it is time for them to hit the road. The girls and I head out thrilled with our experience of a lifetime and full of memories and pictures to share.
